Hiatus II

A catch-up car ride, Ritter concert, rekindling of old platonic romances and a healthy dose of murder mystery have served this ol' soul well.

It's nearly 8?

You know how some days fly by and you realize you were completely unproductive? Yeah, meet my March 23rd. By 2:15 I had eaten a bowl of cereal, check my email 3 times, pick up and dropped off my brother and been in a meeting for an hour which should have started 3 hours prior. Which, now that I'm typing it out, seems like a lot when in actuality it wasn't.

You know how some days get worse as the day goes on? Yeah, meet the rest of my March 23rd. Come home to cold toes, a headache and not-so-good mail. Which, now that I'm typing it out, doesn't seem like that much. And it really wasn't.

It helps to take a step backwards sometimes.

Hiatus

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times."

Life has gotten the best of me these past few weeks. Both the good and the bad. With rich, deep growth and weighty decisions. And so to refresh I have declared for myself a hiatus. A time to step back and out, to regroup and to take some time to dedicate my move to Malaysia.

Hiatuses are a suggestion I make to all. With my first one coming at the end of my time at Messiah, a trip to the city to visit the market and sit by the river to read was the perfect antidote for graduation preparation. We get too busy, life comes at us too fast. A hiatus is a great way to pull the reigns and put it on cruise control for a bit.

A nice drive to the shore with bible, chapstick and camera in hand is sure to bring about peace and refreshment that this running soul needs!
