39
With only 39 days until take off I am beginning to get antsy:
- Half my brain is checked out of whatever is going on, a quarter is thinking about what I need to be doing to get ready and the remaining quarter might be working on whatever I'm supposed to be doing.
- I'm doing more and more research on Malaysia, Global Ministry Teams and public health case studies.
- Spring cleaning purge is upon me and I am leaving no college box unturned. Discarding anything I haven't used in a while to simplify, not only my own transition but the room I leave behind for the fam.
- I'm gobbling up books to absorb/cram as much useful/hands-on knowledge I can get.
- I find myself dressing abnormally warm for the actual temperature (i.e., wearing flip flops when clogs are much more appropriate--leading to painfully cold toes) because I refuse to let Mother Nature (read: God) take back the few warm days we've had so far.
- I'm losing my patience with people. Note: this is a really unpleasant consequence of antsieness.
- I make lists of things I will need to bring. Even though I have no idea what to bring.
39 days is not a lot of time and there is a lot to be done. So to all four of you that read this, if want to have a final going away lunch date with me that would be greatly encouraged and enjoyed. Let me know when your available.
